1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- the PeakSpan mobile app;
- the website at peakspan.live; and
- any other apps, websites, platforms, products, features or services operated by PeakSpan that link to or refer to this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, devices, app stores, operating systems or services that PeakSpan does not control.
2. Information PeakSpan uses
With your authorization, PeakSpan may read relevant wellness, fitness, activity, sleep, body and health-related data from your device health platform to calculate PeakSpan readiness, domain scores, current-state signals, wellness trends, insights and coaching prompts.
The exact data available to PeakSpan depends on the permissions you grant, the data available on your device, your device settings and any connected devices or services.
PeakSpan may also collect and store information you provide, select or create in the app, including, but not limited to, onboarding answers, baseline settings, goals, coach selections, check-ins, reminder preferences, app settings and derived score history.
3. How data is processed and stored
PeakSpan may process wellness and health-related data on your device, on PeakSpan servers or through trusted service providers acting on PeakSpan's behalf.
PeakSpan may store app data locally on your device and/or on PeakSpan servers.
PeakSpan may request read access to your device health platform. Unless stated otherwise in the app, PeakSpan does not write health samples to your device health platform.
If you enable coaching reminders, your device notification services may deliver those reminders according to your notification permissions and settings.
4. Purposes of processing
PeakSpan uses app data and authorized device health platform data to operate, provide, personalize, secure, maintain, develop and improve PeakSpan and its related services.
This includes using data to generate wellness scores, trends, insights, current-state signals and coaching prompts, to support user settings and reminders, to maintain reliability and security, to prevent misuse, to provide support, to improve the user experience and to develop PeakSpan's features, models and services.
PeakSpan does not use device health platform data for advertising or tracking.
5. Tracking, sale and sharing
PeakSpan does not use, sell or share health-related data in ways including, but not limited to:
- selling individual health data;
- using health-related data for advertising;
- using health-related data for tracking;
- sharing identifiable health information with advertisers, data brokers or advertising platforms;
- using tracking domains in the app; or
- sharing identifiable health information with third parties, except where necessary to operate PeakSpan, store or process data, provide infrastructure, comply with law, protect legal rights, maintain security or where you have given permission.
6. Storage, retention and deletion
PeakSpan may store app data locally on your device and/or on PeakSpan servers.
Removing the app from your device may remove locally stored PeakSpan app data according to the standard behavior of your device and operating system, but it may not delete data stored on PeakSpan servers.
Health data stored in your device health platform remains controlled through that platform. Removing PeakSpan does not delete data stored outside PeakSpan.
PeakSpan retains personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide and improve PeakSpan, maintain service security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce rights and preserve legitimate business records.
Where permitted by law, PeakSpan may retain anonymized or aggregated data indefinitely.
You can manage health data and app permissions through your device or platform settings.
7. Your controls
You choose whether to grant access to your device health platform.
You can review, change or revoke PeakSpan's permissions at any time through your device or platform settings.
If you revoke access, some PeakSpan features may stop working or may show incomplete results.
You can also manage notification permissions through your device settings.
Where applicable law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, you may contact us at support@peakspan.live. These rights may be subject to legal limits, verification requirements and exceptions.
8. Website data
The website at peakspan.live is a static product site.
The website does not provide an account sign-in or a form for submitting health information unless clearly stated otherwise.
The hosting provider may process ordinary technical request logs needed to deliver, secure and protect the website. These logs may include, but are not limited to, IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, timestamps and technical error data.
PeakSpan does not use website request logs to identify app health data users.
9. Children
PeakSpan is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or who have reached the age of legal majority in their country of residence.
PeakSpan is not intended for children.
10. Data security
PeakSpan uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, operating system, passcode, biometric access and account credentials.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
11. International users
PeakSpan may be available to users in different countries.
PeakSpan, its servers and its service providers may process and store information in countries different from your country of residence.
Where required by applicable law, PeakSpan will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If this Privacy Policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
If changes materially affect how PeakSpan handles health-related data, we may provide additional notice where required by law or platform rules.
